1. How do I download files from the site?

Click on the file you wish to download, and when prompted click on the "OK" button to save the file to your disk. Alternatively right click the file you wish to download and from the drop down menu select "Save Target As..." and then when prompted choose a place to download the file, once this is done hit save to download the file to your computer.

 

2. How do I open files with the extension .PDF?

To open PDF files you will need Adobe Reader, this program can be downloaded here.

 

3. How do I open files with the extension .DOC?

To open DOC files you will need a text editor or word processor. All modern computers come with a basic text editor included. If you are having problems opening this file or do not have a text editor I recommend you download Open Office. It is a free productivity suite offered by Sun Microsystems and is equivalent to Microsoft Office.

 

4. How do I open files with the extension .PPT?

PPT files require Power Point or an equivalent application. Open Office includes Impress, a free alternative to Power Point.

 

5. I am a registered user. How do I sign in?

On the right of this page you will see a link "Login to HGI". Click on this then enter your username and password into the appropriate fields, then hit "Login". If you have forgotten your password click on the "Request New Password" link and follow the instructions on screen.

 

6. I've got a new e-mail address. How can I get HotNotes sent to this new address?
